Blessings

I can't believe it's a wrap on 2012. This year has brought many trials and I must say we have done a fantastic job conquering them all! It's in the true moments of fear and uncertainty that you lean on friends and family and boy, do we have the best friends and family!!  It has also taught us a lot about ourselves and what's truly important in life.

We have a lot of "thinking pink" going around our house right now. My mom was diagnosed with early stages of breast cancer in August, had a lumpectomy in September and has successfully completed the scheduled four chemo treatments. She was an AMAZING trooper and did an excellent job handling it all. I am so proud of her! She will start radiation in January and then we will hopefully have this all behind us! Radiation is only for 6 weeks and she will have completed steps 2/3 of her treatment plan by March!! Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers.

On Christmas Eve we also found out we will be blessed with a baby girl in the spring!!! We had some fun and did a gender reveal with our families with Cupcakes made by Jones Brothers in Omaha (http://www.jonesbroscupcakes.com/).  We are SO excited to decorate all things pink and purple and can't wait for May Day 2013 when she is due!! We were so lucky to be able to have our 20 week ultrasound on 12/17 so it made it extra special to wait until our favorite holiday to find out!
